Marcia L Weatherman Rogers

Marcia L. Rogers, 62 of Colorado City passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Big Spring, TX. Rev. James Williams will be officiating. Family visitation will be Tuesday, March 15,2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Dandy’s Diner in Colorado City, TX .

Marcia is survived by: Husband: Curtis Rogers of Colorado City, TX, Son: Gene Ray Rogers of Mitchell County, TX, Daughter: Staci Rodgers of Dallas, TX, Sister: Syble Pope of Sand Springs, TX and Grandson: Kyler Ray Rogers.

Marcia was born June 10, 1948 in Big Springs, TX to parents ER and Ethel Weatherman. She went to school and graduated from Coahoma High School. Marcia married Curtis Rogers , January 26, 1968, at her home with Paul Keele officiating the wedding. Marcia lived all her life in Big Spring and Colorado City area. She worked for Big Spring ISD as a teacher’s aide and owned and operated Dandy’s Diner in Colorado City. She was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Marcia loved working with kids and was a member of the PTA. Marcia also had a special place in her heart for Ronald McDonald House and the things they do for family’s.

Pallbearers will be : Doyle Mitchell, Bobby Sparks, Clay Klatt, Tom Willingham, Tony Wagner, Mica Weatherman, Jerod Weatherman.

Marcia was preceded in death by: Parents E R “Red” and Ethel Weatherman, Sister: Dorothy Moore and Brother: Wayne Weatherman
