Mary Martinez Lopez

Mary Martinez Lopez, 67 of Godley, Texas, formerly of Loraine and Colorado City, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Baylor All Saints of Fort Worth on Friday, January 30, 2026.

She was born in Colorado City, Texas on October 16, 1958, to Albert and Frances Mireles Martinez, Mary was 1 of 16 children.

Mary lived for family, she was an amazing wife to her husband Jimmy, the love of her life who she married in 1974. After getting married she wasted no time in starting her life’s journey as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, which she was great at. Any time the grandchildren were over they could expect a warm meal and a clean house as she loved cleaning and cooking. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, watching the grandchildren play sports, catching up on General Hospital, or watching the Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers play ball. Her legacy of selflessness and love for all will go on for years to come.

Mary is survived by her husband Jimmy Lopez of Godley; sons James Lopez of Cleburne, Steve Gutierrez and wife Carrie of Snyder; daughters Vanessa Warren of Lubbock, and Alison Loera and husband Brian of Godley; and a host grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration Visitation for Mary will be held at Kiker Seale Funeral Home in Colorado City on Friday, February 6th from 5-7 pm.
