Mary Ann Wallis Torres

Mary Ann Torres, 40, of Colorado City, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at her home. Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church. Pastor Jerry Moore will be officiating.

Mary was born August 27, 1970 in Winnsboro, Tx to parents Addie and Alice Wallis. She married Pete Torres Jr. at First Assembly of God in Haskell Texas on June 25, 1994. Mary was a homemaker and lived in Colorado City for the past 14 years. Mary received her Bachelor of Social Services from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado City, TX.

Survivors are : husband: Pete Torres Jr. of Colorado City, daughter: Allison Michelle Torres of Colorado City, brothers: Addie Wallis Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Rule,TX, Wheeler Wallis of Winnsboro,TX, sisters: Joyce Lindsey of Arizona, Lee Alice Young and husband Ronnie of Coachella, CA , Joyce Lerlene Crooke and husband Brian of Abilene, Tx, mother-in-law: Audelia Torres of Rule,TX, father-in-law: Pete Torres Sr. of Albany, TX, sister-in-law: Linda Abila and husband Mario of Knox City, TX , and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by: Parents, brother: Norman Sprueill,sister: Penny Sprueill, grandmother: Peggy Burnett, brother –in-law Uvaldo Valerio.
