R.C. Noel

R.C. Noel, 78, of Colorado City, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Abilene,TX. Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church. Dr. Tim Chandler and Brother Paul Smith will be officiating services. Interment will be at Colorado City Cemetery. Family visitation will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Kiker Seale Funeral Home.

R.C. was born November 14, 1932 in Brownfield,Tx to parents William and Gladys Noel. R.C. graduated from Loraine High School. R.C. married Sue Martin on December 2,1955 in Champion ,TX . R.C. served in the United States Army during the Korean War, as a corporal and was in the Military Police. R.C. lived in Colorado City for 54 years . He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. R.C. was a deacon at Oak Street Baptist Church, he was a Sunday School teacher at Oak Street Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. R.C. Worked for Chevron Oil Company from 1957 until 1992.

R.C. was a loving and caring father and grandfather. His faith in Christ and commitment to his family, church and community was the focal point of his life. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors are: wife: Sue martin Noel of Colorado city, Son: Russell Wayne Noel and wife Sherri Uselton Noel of North Richland Hills, TX. Daughter: Ginger Noel Chandler and husband Tim Chandler of Abilene, TX. Sisters: Viola Hooker of Stephenville,TX, LaVeda Brooks of Burleson,TX, Wanda Blankenship of Ingleside,TX, Melba Kreidel of Midland,TX,Grandchildren: Brittany Chandler Arbour and husband Jeff, Garrett Wayne Noel, Logan Noel Chandler, Brooke Taylor Noel.

Preceded in death by: Father William Jehu Noel, Mother: Gladys Hendrickson Noel, Brothers: William Jennings Noel, Boyd Noel, Turner Noel,Sisters: Lillie Lucas, Mary Helen Graham Motley

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Graham, Steve Graham, Roger Graham, Jay Noel, Bryan Noel, Jimmy Noel, Garrett Noel, Logan Chandler. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Kreidel.
