Sandra Boen Green

She was born on February 5, 1945, in Rotan, Texas to Jesse and Era Crawford Boen.

After graduating from high school Sandra married the love of her life Jack Green in September 1963. Sandra enjoyed working and spent her entire life in the bookkeeping and administrative field. Even when her husband Jack joined the military, she would follow wherever he went and find a job in her career field. During her tenure with Texas Electric which became TXU, Sandra worked her way up to overseeing the administrative duties of the plants in Sweetwater, Colorado City, and Monahans until her retirement in 2008. Sandra enjoyed collecting and wearing nice jewelry and taking care of her dogs which she considered her children, but her biggest passion was collecting rocks and antique bricks. She also enjoyed working in the yard tending to her plants and her flowers. She will be dearly missed by her family and by many people who got the opportunity to work with her.

Sandra is survived by her husband Jack Green of Colorado City, by her brother Darrell Boen and wife Jane of Burnett, and by a sister-in-law Eileen Jones and her husband Pete of Odessa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Era Boen and by a brother J.D. “Buddy” Boen.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at 1pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Williams of New Life Bible Ministry officiating.
