

She was born on September 21,1948 in Big Spring, Texas to James Ray and Viola Jackson Coyle.
Kay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a hard worker who spent many years working at fullers until she went to work at TDCJ in the Ware Unit, until she retired in 2017. In her spare time, she could be seen reading or playing her games on her iPad. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Kay is survived by a son Richard Barnett and his wife Elizabeth of Sweetwater, a daughter Lori Barnett of Loraine, grandchildren Sylvia, R.J., Kristy, Selena, and Bethany, and by 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Brother Royce Coyle and his wife Carol of Big Spring as well as by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents J.R. and Viola Coyle, by the love of her life Barney Benny Barnett, a sister Selena Gould, and by a grandson B.J. Barnett.
The family will be present for a visitation on Sunday, February 15th from 4-6 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held on Monday, February 16th at 10 am in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Foster of the First Assembly of God Church of Colorado City officiating, burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
