

He was born in Winters Texas on May 28, 1927 to John Edward and Lou Helen (Boo) Robinson Underwood.
Thomas was a man who loved his country and the outdoors. He selflessly served his country during WWII in the Navy as a member of the See Bee’s, then spent many years as a contracted engineer for the military. In his spare time Tom would spend his time outdoors hunting, fishing, entertaining guests at the lake house, or training bird dogs, except on football days where he would watch and cheer for the Dallas Cowboys.
Tom is survived by his children Linda Edmonson and husband Gary of Colorado City, Debra Hull and husband Rusty of Big Spring, and Geary Underwood and wife Murvina of Columbus Georgia and by his grandchildren Monica Turney and husband Robert of San Angelo, Brandon Underwood of Columbus Georgia, Michael Underwood and wife Katie of Columbus Georgia, Eli Reyes and Sarah Smith of Westbrook, and Jeremy Reyes and wife Becky of Westbrook, as well as 10 great-grandchildren and a good friend Louise Garrett. He was preceded in death by his wife Neva and by his siblings Shirley Deal and Ruth Ann Underwood.
A funeral service will be held at the Westbrook Baptist Church on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 10 AM with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating with interment to follow in the Westbrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6-8 pm.
