
COLUMBIA Caroline Fulmer Morris, 95, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home in Lexington, S.C. She was born in Batesburg, S.C. to Annie Caroline Teague and Henry Lyman Fulmer, PhD. She is survived by three children, Anne Morris of Columbia, Susan Morris of Charlotte, N.C. and Will Morris of Freeport, FL; two grandchildren, Captain Bryan Morris, PhD of Cameron, N.C. and Caroline Wolverton, D.O. of Henderson, KY; two great-grandchildren, Wade Wolverton of Henderson and Madison Morris of Cameron; and sister, Janet Teague Ahern of Charlotte.
Caroline was a graduate of Clemson High School and George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She initiated her Master’s degree in Chemistry before working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. After moving to Columbia, she married Bill Morris and began to raise a family. She was an active member of Shandon Presbyterian Church, the Ray Riddle class and taught their kindergarten. In addition, she served as a docent at the Robert Mills House, the Seibels House, and the Columbia Museum of Art.
Services will be held in Shandon Presbyterian Church’s Memorial Garden at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shandon Presbyterian Church or Sister Care.
