Clark Ray

COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Clark Ray, 72, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Lebanon Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church fellowship hall. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Ray passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Born in Loris, SC, he was a son of Violet Fowler Ray and the late Eldridge Cornelius Ray. He was a graduate of Lower Richland High School and a member of the 1970 Diamond Hornets State Championship Football team. Clark was in the auto body business for 50 years as body shop management and working with his father hands on for many years. He was a great story teller of many topics to include fishing, hunting coons or being in the swamps with his friends. Clark enjoyed spending time with friends at the body shop, fishing with his brother and sister, and being on the Cooper River.

Surviving are his mother, Violet Ray; sister, Valorie Cotton; brother, Rych Ray; aunts; uncles; numerous cousins; and many close friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Eldridge Ray and brother in law, Robert H Cotton, Jr
