David Nesbitt Warren, 77, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Charles Otis Warren and Ruth Jones Warren. He was an avid NASCAR fan where he followed his favorite driver over the years, “The King” Richard Petty. He loved understanding the history of WWII and was a collector of model cars and military memorabilia. He also enjoyed watching golf.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Warren Knox (Christopher); grandchildren, Landon Burks and Kayce Knox; brother-in-law, Bob Burks, and sister-in-law, Ellen Burks; niece, Alice DuBose (John); great-niece, Mary DuBose; and his four legged companion, Brice.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Cecelia Wiles Warren, and brother, C. O. Warren;
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
