COLUMBIA Graveside service with military honors for Donald John Auld, 89, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, officiated by American Legion Chaplain Emeritis Tom Fincher. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Auld died Thursday, December 25, 2014. Born January 1, 1925, in Sumter, he was the son of the late Joseph Edmund and Margaret Broughton Auld. Donald was a U.S. Navy WWII combat veteran with service aboard Destroyer Escort USS Eisner.
