COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Donald Gordon Vance, Jr., 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. Vance passed away Friday, January 3, 2020. Born in Skokie, Illinois on June 16, 1946, he was a son of the late Donald Gordon Vance, Sr. and Anna Carlson Vance.
Donald was retired from the U.S. Air Force and later from Blue Cross Blue Shield. He enjoyed NASCAR, railroad model trains and photography.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Gloria Vance; son, Seth Vance (Cassandra); and grandchildren, Giancarlo and Nyssa. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Ronald G. Springfield, Jr.
