Dorsey was born September 10, 1970 in Columbia, SC to Jerry Leese and Daphne Alston. He was a graduate of Spring Valley High, Class of 1988 and was the recipient of a Bachelor's Degree from Winthrop University.
Dorsey was the true epitome of a free spirit. He appreciated the joy of a beautiful sunset on the ocean, a good bottle of wine, and lively conversation with friends. He made you feel like family.
He was a man of many interests and talents. Dorsey conveyed his artistry through pottery, music, cooking and gardening... and was always quick with a smile, a kind word, and a hearty laugh. Always up for a new adventure.
Dorsey was preceded in death by his mother, Daphne Alston Leese Marane.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Jerry Leese; his sister, Janet Leese; aunts and uncles, Valerie and Harvey Taylor, Cotten and Valerie Alston, step-father, Russ Marane, along with numerous other extended family and friends.
