Frances Lifsey Perry

COLUMBIA - A Memorial service for Frances Lifsey Perry, 98, will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, May 16, 2025 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Perry died, Friday, May 9, 2025, at Spring Oak Senior Living in Lexington. Born on November 27, 1926, in Meansville, GA., she was the daughter of the late William Samuel Lifsey and Willie Maude Arthur Lifsey.

Mrs. Perry retired as an Administrative Assistant from the University of South Carolina, having worked in the English and Law Departments. She enjoyed traveling, working in her yard and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Antique Club, Columbia Philharmonic and Kilbourne Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Perry Groot (Pieter), Craig H. Perry (Annette), Karen Perry Cummins and Denise P. Patrick (Craig); 9 grand-children; 14 Great-grandchildren; brother David Lifsey and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her friend, Robert Price and all of her caregivers for providing excellent care during her illness.

Mrs. Perry was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, William R. Perry; two brothers, James Lifsey and Samuel Lifsey; sister, Doris Andrews and son-in-law, Keith Cummins.
