COLUMBIA, SC – George Washington McMahan, Msgt, USAF (Retired), 85, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home Devine Street Chapel.
Born in Rising Fawn, GA, he was a son of the late Charles and Bonnie Smith McMahan.
He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict and retired with the rank of Master Sargent. After his service he worked at the United States Postal Service for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sachiko Yoshida McMahan; son, John Patrick McMahan and his wife, Hattie of West Columbia; grandchildren, Brandon McMahan and his wife, Amy and McKenzie Kirkland and her husband, Steven; and great grandchildren, Reese Woodward, Raegan Woodward and Sawyer McMahan.
