SUMTER - A graveside service for George William Mixon, Sr. 66, of Sumter, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, in Good Hope Baptist Church cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Mixon died Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Born in Hartsville, he was a son of Allen Wilson and the late Lola Hutson Mixon Wilson. He was passionate about fishing and loved being on the water. Surviving are his father, Allen Wilson; son, George “Bo” W. Mixon, Jr.; daughters, Laurie Brown (David) and Cynthia Jeffcoat; brother, Tommy Mixon; and seven grandchildren.
