Born October 7, 1942 in Griffin, Ga, a son of the late Bonnie Crowder Ellis. He served in the USAF, was a Police Officer with the City of Columbia for 27 years and a Police Officer for the Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center for 15 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ava Johnson Kelley Ellis; two step-sons, Carroll Edward Kelley, Jr. of Tifton, GA; Dustin Thomas "Tommy" Kelley of Wedgefield, SC; and 3 step-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be private.
