Hannah Martha Brunson

On Thursday, December 28th, our sweet daughter, Hannah Martha Brunson passed away, at the age of 6. She is survived by her parents, Sonny and Colleen, her big sister, Adeline, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Hannah was happiest playing with her big sister, listening to music with dad, or lounging on the back porch with mom and a stack of books.

She adored her friends, teachers and therapists at school. Even on the days she wasn’t feeling at her best, she would demand that we take her to school! She was not one to sit idly by and miss out on the fun, unless it involved getting paint on her hands or having to keep her shoes on. Her school family’s contribution to her happiness cannot be understated and her parents are eternally grateful for the compassion and kindness that enveloped her.

Hannah was the constant party girl always making her way to the center of the action around her, dancing to any music with a good beat. Her favorite was 90’s Hip Hop. She was such a happy, sweet girl that brought so much light into other’s lives. Her smile, like her personality, was simply radiant and she knew it.

She loved attending neighborhood parties, playing with the neighborhood kids, cruising in her wagon at Halloween, eating chocolate, demanding more chocolate and visiting Granny (but not the dogs or the pool). She was a discerning connoisseur of small cardboard books.

Although she was non-verbal, she easily made her wishes known with a wave, smile or a sly grin. Like all little girls she recently began rolling her eyes when Dad’s jokes didn’t impress her, which was more often than he’d like to admit. She will be missed dearly by everyone that met her.
