Henry John House

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna M. House, and his sister, Anne T. Ramsey. He is survived by his companion, Mary Ella Blank, Niece Annette Jones (Tony), Nephew Dwayne Ramsey (Kim), as well as 3 great nieces. The family would also like to extend a sincere thank you and appreciation to Gail Henry for her unwavering devotion and dedication to Henry’s care.

Henry was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and the Army Reserves. He went on to work for Love Chevrolet in the parts department for 55 years, retiring in 2021.

Henry touched the lives of so many people through his kindness, generosity and humble spirit. His hobbies and interests included gardening, yard work, tractors, trains, and he was a proud fan of Notre Dame University.

Services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00 am at Saint Anne & Saint Jude Roman Catholic Church located at 1855 Beckwood Rd., Sumter, SC 29153. The family will receive guests in the foyer of the Church prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Saint Anne and Saint Jude Roman Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.

We were blessed to have known him and will miss him greatly.
