Linda Gayle Covington Hasty

Her earthly remains will be cremated with memorial and graveside services to be held at a future time after the current Covid-19 pandemic has abated.

Linda was born September 18, 1934 in Clio, SC to Dunk Ashby Covington and Dolly Gladys Usher Covington. Linda was the loving wife of Willis Hamer “Shorty” Hasty, Sr. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and served as a long time administrative assistant for Dr. William S. Hall, Commissioner at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. She was the dedicated mother of Willis Hamer Hasty, Jr. (predeceased 2010), Dennis Covington Hasty of Columbia, SC and Belinda Sue Hasty Hunter of Nevada, MO. She was also the fortunate grandmother of three and great-grandmother of two.

She played the piano for Hebron United Methodist Church during her youth, was a long time member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Columbia, and in later years became a member of North Trenholm Baptist Church in Columbia.
