Mae Todd Moore

Columbia – Mae Todd Moore, of Laurel Crest Country Club died January 27, 2016. Born August 18, 1922 in Abbeville, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John C. Todd and Marguerite Willis Todd. She grew up in Due West, South Carolina, and graduated from Erskine College in 1943. In 1943 she married Erskine College sweetheart George F. Moore, the love of her life and her husband of 64 years, who passed away in 2007. She was predeceased by her very much loved brother, Charles E. Todd. She is survived by her children George F. Moore, Jr., John T. Moore (Harriett) and Marguerite M. Gunn (Eddie); her grandchildren Bryson M. Geer (Brooks), Mary M. Keever (Wes), Katherine M. Smith (Jay), John T. Moore, Jr. (Arami), Patrick H. Moore (Beth), Jenny M. Brown (Robb), Mae Todd Mullins (Bo), Chesley M. Griffin (Will), Michael E. Gunn (Amanda) and Elizabeth C. Reardon (Jerry); and great-grandchildren Hampden Geer, Riley Geer, Dory Keever, Abby Keever, Charlie Smith, Virginia Todd Moore, Jackson Moore, Abby Moore, Mae Moore, Maggie Brown, Elizabeth Todd Mullins, Pearson Mullins, William Griffin, George Griffin, Ava Gunn and Harper Reardon. Mae was a lifelong member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian denomination and loved her churches. In 1953 she and her husband – George became charter members of Sherwood Forest Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church where they served the rest of their lives. Mae was active in all phases of Women Ministries in the ARP Church and was a gifted Bible teacher. A graveside service will be held for members of the family at 10:00 a.m., January 30, 2016 at the Edgemoor ARP Church Cemetery in Edgemoor, South Carolina. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on January 30, 2016 at Sherwood Forest Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Family members will greet visitors after the Service.
