Mamie Beatrice Napier

Mrs. Napier died Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born September 16, 1922, in Marlinton, West Va., she was a daughter of the late Stella Katherine Meeks and Willie Silas Gibson and was the wife of the late Earl Napier. She was a homemaker, an Army veteran and was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. She was a Godly woman who loved her family and believed in serving God, family and country.

Surviving are son, Mark L. Napier (Patti) of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Vickie J. Napier (boyfriend, Mark Bingham) of Columbia; brother, Kenneth Gibson of West Va.; sister, Carolyn Gibson of West Va.; grandchildren, Joshua Sturkie (Genna) of Gaston, Mark Carter, Jr., of Summerville, Silas Carter (Hannah) of Summerville, Justin Napier of Jacksonville, Fla., Shane Napier (Emily) of Jacksonville Fla.; great-grandchildren, Lilly Jane Sturkie, Ellie and Ryland Carter, and Elsie Napier; and special family friend, Karyn Jones of Lexington.

She was predeceased by brothers, Sterl Gibson, Bob Gibson and Kemp Gibson; and sisters, Goldie Sampson, Gertrude LaBoe, Genevieve Dinkins, Penny Drewery, Dottie Gay, and Louise Gibson.
