COLUMBIA - Mary Ann Leonard Thompson passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022. Born in Spartanburg, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ralph O’Neal Leonard and Mary Nell Newman Crow and stepfather, James Irvin Crow. She was a retired phlebotomist in S.C. and Florida.
The beautiful Mary Ann loved gardening, fishing, watching and feeding her birds and deer. She loved all those yellow daffodils that she planted and shared with all who wanted them but you could only have 12. She loved and lived her life to the fullest in all her journeys through life.
She is survived by her sister, Linda L. Hill (Butch) of Port Orange, FL.; brothers, Albert I Crow of Daytona Beach, FL., Ruben L. Leonard (Rhonda) of Ponte Vedra, Fl.; stepbrothers, Rickey Crowe of Columbia, James S. Crow of Columbia; numerous nieces and nephews; and friend, Donald Waller. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Allen Thompson; sister, Alice M. Crow Shobert; brother, Ralph E. Leonard.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Dutch Fork Baptist Church, Irmo, S.C. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo, is assisting the family.
