
COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Mildred Elizabeth Culbreth Wofford, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mrs. Wofford died Sunday, January 18, 2015. Born November 17, 1931, in Landrum, she was a daughter of the late James Wall Culbreth and Bonnie Parker Culbreth. She was a creative person, who appreciated the beauty of God’s world. Mrs. Wofford had several artistic talents such as making porcelain dolls, sewing, and most of all her love of gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Wofford; brothers, James Russell Culbreth (Ronnie) of Summerville, John Culbreth of Landrum; sisters, Jennie C. Garner of Landrum, Doris C. Scott of Columbus, N.C., Verna C. Peace of Broadway, N.C.; and her cat companion, Boots. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Wofford; son, Paul David Wofford; brother, Robert Culbreth. The family wishes to thank SC Oncology: Robert Smith, M.D., Nichole Hendry, N.P. and Pam, chemotherapy nurse; Palmetto Health Baptist: ICU and Oncology Staff along with Dr. Bradley Word and Dr. Eddie Williams; and special family friend, Paul Moore.
