Rachel Johnson Pedersen

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Rachel Johnson Pedersen, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pedersen passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Born in Warren, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles Johnson and Doris Munson Johnson. She was a dedicated military wife and loving mother. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her sons, Peter M. Pedersen (Geni), and Charles H. Pedersen (Cindy); daughter, Stephanie “Penny” Pedersen; grandchildren, Matt Pedersen (Mikita), Missi Pedersen, Hal Pedersen (Angel), and Chelsea Pedersen; great-grandchildren, Macey, Piper, and Monroe; sister, Patricia Howard; and brother, Charles E. Johnson (Lois).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold Pedersen and her daughter, Allison Pedersen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
