COLUMBIA - There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 21st at Dunbar Funeral Home on Devine at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service for Mrs. Chappell at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Chappell died Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born in Columbia, SC, on December 16th, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Robert Raymond Lominick and Nellie Ruth Kinard Lominick.
Surviving are her son, “Beau” Buford Souter Chappell, III; sister, Elizabeth Mangum; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Buford Souter Chappell, Jr. and brother, Nelson H. Kinard.
She attended Eau Claire High School where she graduated in the class of 1963. She enjoyed antiquing and traveling with her sister. Her hobbies included gardening and collecting Hummel figurines.
