Raymond Leo Adams

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn; son, Chip Adams (Meredith) and granddaughters, Conley and Catherine Adams all of Charleston, SC; a sister, Patsy Matthey of Irmo; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Partin of Columbia; and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Raymond graduated from Brooklyn Cayce High School and attended Newberry College. After a career in civil engineering, he retired from SCDOT and Wilbur Smith & Associates. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Cayce Masonic Lodge. He volunteered his services to his church, lodge, Shriner’s Hospital and Providence Mended Hearts Program.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2018 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
