Steven was born March 11, 1953 in Rochester, NY to Peter and Fanny (Nacca) Ruisi.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by Ma and the Old Man. Steve will live on through his wife of 53 years, Anna (L’Abbate) Ruisi. Daughter, Anjelica Russo (Antonio), and son, Steven Ruisi. His pride and joy, his grandsons, Angelo, Nikolas, and Mateo. Extended family, amazing friends, with a special mention to Cindi and Sylvia.
He worked hard his whole life to give his wife, kids and grandkids the world. Steve worked alongside his father in law as a master trim carpenter. He was honorable, respected, loved and cherished by so many. Steve made a friend everywhere he went whether it was in Figi on vacation or in Wegmans talking to the cashier. Steve was THEE most amazing dad, husband and papa. He didn't go anyplace without grabbing someone a coffee, a bagel, or a bouquet of flowers. He was at every soccer game, track meet, wrestling event, and school function. Papa read more books, bought more gifts, and changed more diapers then he did with his own kids. The boys, oh his boys, how he ran for them.
Steve was unforgettable and he left a mark on everything he touched and everyone he loved. He retired to South Carolina with his wife and son, and in the few shorts months he was there, he touched the lives of his neighbors. I don't know how you live without your hero, how you wake up everyday without hearing his voice. What I do know is that his legacy with live on forever in us. Dad will live on through the many lives he was able to help through organ donation.
The family will hold a special mass and legacy celebration in the spring.
