Steven Clayton Shannon

A funeral service for Steven Clayton Shannon, 57, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Shannon passed away Friday, March 16, 2018. Born in Columbia in 1960, he was the son of Naomi Robinson Amma and Dr. & Mrs. Samuel R. Shannon (Patti). He was a graduate of Hammond Academy and attended the University of South Carolina. He was an avid Gamecock fan and loved playing golf every chance he had. He worked in the golf industry and The PGA Superstore for many years.

He was preceded in death by his stepsister, Kathy Bailey Bonner and leaves behind siblings, Geneva Bailey, Jeff Shannon, Cristi Rice, Sharon Kay Ford, Robert Bailey, and his little brother and best friend, Bill Shannon. He will be greatly missed by all his many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
