Tommy graduated from Dreher High School in 1967. He joined the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in 1971 and spent the majority of his 53-year career as an investigator until his retirement in December 2024.
He is survived by his children, Kevin (Amy) Croxton and Kimberly (Hugh) Wright; four grandchildren, Riley, Ada, Ella Croxton and Ruby Wright; and sister, Sherry (David) Hicks. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Alice Hagins Croxton; parents, Thomas B. Croxton and Callie C. Croxton; and brother, Donald Croxton.
The family would like to thank extended family, friends and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department for their love and support over the years, and especially within the last few weeks.
Per Tommy’s request, there will not be a funeral or formal memorial service.
