Bill grew up in Florence, SC and attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He served honorably in the United States Air Force, being stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War.
Bill was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1963. He was also an active member of the Lions Club, and an avid Lions Club pin trader.
Along with his parents, Bill is predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years, Anne Shoaf Jordan, and a brother, Leonard Cameron Jordan.
Surviving are a daughter, Molly Kate Jordan Herrmann; son-in-law, James Christopher “Chris” Herrmann; granddaughter, Jordan Emma Armfield Herrmann; and grandson, Matthew Christopher Herrmann.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3909 Forest Drive Columbia, SC 29204.
