Donald L. Groene

Donald L. Groene, 89, of Columbus died 5:02 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018, at Four Seasons Health Care Center. Mr. Groene was born August 20, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Stanley and Leta Barrick Groene. He married Joan McNeely; she survives. He was a salesman for plywood and furniture manufacturers, retiring from Aetna Plywood in Indianapolis. He enjoyed photography, bicycling and traveling. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife Joan of Columbus; daughter Annalee Huey of Columbus; son, Daniel (Lela) Groene of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Spencer, Caitlin and Jennifer Huey and Matthew Groene. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Groene. A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Four Seasons Retirement Center Chapel with Chaplin Karen Hargett officiating.
