Alvin Richard Davis Jr.

Alvin was born in Concord to Alvin and Lillian (Mason) Davis. Following his graduation from Concord High School, he apprenticed as a machinist in Portsmouth at the US Naval Shipyard; and in the early 1970’s, he opened the doors to Davis Machine Shop.

Alvin was also a lifelong member of the Blazing Star Lodge where he served as chaplain for over 30 years.

Alvin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nona (Savary) Davis; daughter ,Gayle (Davis) Duprey and her husband, Michael; son, Alvin R. Davis III and his wife, Monika; grandchildren Elizabeth (Davis) Schultz, USAF, Ret. and husband Robert, Alvin R. Davis IV, Dr. Chelsea (Duprey) Doughty and husband Andrew, Erica Davis, Alexandra Duprey, Krisztian Davis, and Tamas Davis; great-grandchildren Evelyn Schultz, Dailen Schultz, Logan Davis, Alvin R. Davis V, and Kit Davis Wieler. Alvin also leaves behind his beloved German Shepherd, Major and many more extended family members.

Calling hours will be on Thursday February 3, 2022, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. Concord NH, 03301.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11:00am at Faith Community Bible Church, 339 N Village Road, Loudon NH 03307.

A Graveside Service will be held in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery Concord, NH.
