Carol Mary Welch, 70, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on January 24, 1954, in Concord, Carol remained a lifelong resident of the city she loved. Always living life to the fullest, she spent her final months surrounded by family and friends that she cherished.
Carol is survived by her loving spouse of 33 years, George Yeazitzis; her brothers, Scott Welch and his wife Anne, with their sons Derek and Gabriel; and Jeremy Welch and his wife Jessica, with their children Zachary and Elizabeth. She was also blessed with a huge circle of friends, many whom she considered family. Carol loved her family and friends fiercely, always willing to do anything to support, help and care for them throughout their lives, no matter the circumstance.
Carol was a gifted sonographer, co-owning Krislan Ultrasonix with a close friend. Though she was highly skilled in her career, it was her zest for life and her ability to brighten a room that truly set her apart. Carol was known for being the life of every party, especially at her famous
Memorial Day gatherings, where she made sure everyone had a great time.
A passionate crafter, Carol had a love for scrapbooking, card-making, and diamond art. If there was a way to glue, cut, or glitter something, Carol was on it. However, anyone who received a lovingly handmade card or scrapbook page from her would also fondly recall her terrible spelling. Words like “congradulations” became part of Carol’s charm, providing a lot of laughs over the years- and she would be the first to laugh along. Despite her spelling challenges, Carol’s creativity and heart were undeniable. Her scrapbooks weren’t just collections of memories, but testaments to how much she cared for the people in her life. She put as much love and care into her relationships as she did in her crafts, and those close to her knew there was no one more generous or fun to be around.
A funeral service will be held at Bennett’s Funeral Home in Concord, NH, on Wednesday,
October 30. Calling hours will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a service at 12
p.m. The burial and a reception will follow immediately after. Flowers in memory of Carol may be sent to Bennett Funeral Home.
Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
