Caroline E. Hibbard

She was born May 18, 1931 in Haverhill, N.H. to Rev. Forrest L. and Alice (Girardet) Eastman. She was a 1949 graduate of Cumberland High School, Cumberland, R.I., and graduated from Lynn (MA) Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She worked as a registered nurse for many years.

She was a parishioner of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Pittsfield for many years, and later attended Anglican services. She was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed gardening and reading.

She is survived by her children, Stephen M. Smith of Pembroke; Bruce G. Smith and wife Lynn of Lyme; Neil A. Smith of Loudon; Andrew L. Smith and wife Chris of Portland, OR; Irene R. Smith of Loudon, and Kathleen E. Sayers and husband Steven of Twin Falls, ID; brothers, Charles A. Eastman and wife Kathy of Epsom, Mark L. Eastman of Montreal, Quebec, and David C. Eastman of Loudon; and her sister, Margaret E. Baltas and husband Leon of London, Ontario; an Aunt, Elizabeth Krynski of Durham, NC and many grandchildren and several nieces.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Concord Hospital Trust (for 5th Floor East)
