
He was born in Concord a son of Leo J. and Mary (Cate) Byrne and attended area schools.
A proud Army veteran, he was a 40 year member of the NH Army National Guard, a 30 year member of the Pembroke Fire Department, a 21 year member of the Loudon Fire Department.
Following his retirement, Mr. Byrne was a school bus driver.
Mr. Byrne is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peta Byrne; 4 children: Lisa Blodgett of Keene, Justin Byrne of Pembroke, Jessica Byrne of Loudon, Kendra Laframbois of Waynesboro, VA; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 9 at 11:30am. Committal services will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Loudon Fire Department.
