Daniel, born January 18th, 2023 at Concord Hospital, was a beautiful and beloved young boy with the most contagious smile. He loved his family, big sister Charlie, Dada, and most of all Mama. He could do anything but sit still, unless he had snacks and his Truck Tunes; then you could sneak in a cuddle. He was an active child, always ready to go outside, trying to run onto the court at his sister’s basketball games, and swimming whenever he could. He was never afraid, the bigger the slide the better. This combined with his natural athleticism had other parents at the playground regularly asking “how old is he?”, as they watched our 2 year old race up obstacles their 6 year old wouldn’t attempt. Daniel attended Woodside School and recently began Pre-K at Abbott Downing School. He adored both institutions, and especially loved riding the bus from Abbott Downing to Woodside. His teachers there will agree, to know Daniel was to love Daniel. Wherever he went he brightened the room, his giggle was sure to make anyone smile and he was always ready with a big hug. He is gone from this world too soon, but he will never leave our hearts.
He is survived by his parents, Haylee Thibeau and Brandon Gonnion; his sister, Charlene Gonnion, paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and 5 cousins.
A service will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N Main St., Concord on Friday March 6th from 6-8PM, all that knew Daniel are welcome to attend, children are invited as well. There are no attire requirements, wear what makes you feel comfortable or closer to Daniel. We ask that you please do not bring flowers (he would’ve picked them apart anyway), if you feel compelled we ask that you instead donate to [email protected], or any other charity of your choosing.
