Diana grew up in Cambridge and Somerville MA, and graduated from Somerville High School. She was a longtime employee of GTE- Sylvania until she retired at the age of 62. She was known as a fabulous knitter and an amazing candlepin bowler in her younger years. She also loved spending time with her friends playing Bingo.
Diana is survived by her brother Kenneth Morris and wife Ann of Mansfield MA; nephews Joseph Morris and wife Deborah of Roslindale MA, Robert Morris and wife Donna of Weymouth MA; niece Kaitlin Griffin and husband Ryan of Burlington MA. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Laurence Root; and brother Joseph Morris and wife Margaret.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
