Kevin grew up in Loudon, Chichester and Gilmanton Iron Works NH and attended Pittsfield High School. He then pursued a career in Law Enforcement and after 24 years, retired from the New Hampshire State Police. In addition to the State Police, he also served on Gilmanton, Pittsfield and Laconia Police Departments as well as Belknap County Sheriffs Department.
Music was Kevin’s passion, he was an avid guitarist and had a beautiful voice. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. He was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and set out to conquer all of New Hampshire’s 4,000 footers. He loved volunteering for the Pittsfield Historical Society. He also loved spending time at the Marston’s Farm, riding horses over at Marylin’s, going on adventures with Doug and making Cider at Leavitt’s Cider Mill. Kevin loved all of the many traditions him and his only child, Erin, came up with through their years together, the fair, old home days, breakfasts, barbequing, cider making, John Wayne movies, porch sitting and guitar playing. But more than anything else, Kev loved telling stories. He was a wonderful storyteller and could tell you anything about anyone. He could tell you anyone’s lineage and anyone’s family tree. He could tell you the history of Pittsfield and Gilmanton. He loved the Town of Pittsfield and everyone who resided there.
