Ed was the son of the late Edward H. Wagner and Jean M. (McGeechan) Wagner. He grew up in Maine and graduated from University of Maine-Orono with a degree in Accounting, and Bentley college with a Master’s degree in taxation. He was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant specializing in taxation. He was an active communicant of Christ the King Church in Concord and the Bedford Boomers (a model railroad club).
When he was not immersed in preparing taxes, Ed engaged in several leisure activities. He enjoyed using his tractor for landscaping, snow removal, and many other chores (even though they might not need a tractor). For many years he drove his tractor in the annual “Dunbarton Old Home Day Parade”. He also delighted in working in his garden and sharing its produce with friends and family. Model railroading was another of his favorite activities. And he loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He attended their sporting events, birthday parties, and holiday celebrations.
Among his many other characteristics, Ed was always there for anyone who was eager to learn new tricks or trades. He was happy to share his knowledge and explain how to accomplish anything he knew how to do (which was considerable). He loved his country and had a strong Christian faith.
Ed is survived by his wife, Marcia Wagner, his daughter, Alicia Jean Wagner Larsen and husband Kirk of Medford, Massachusetts, his step-son, Tony Ste. Marie and his wife Jen of Merrimack, NH, his step-daughter, Angela Maas and her husband, Ron of New Boston, NH. His four sisters, Margaret Sweeney and her husband Steve of Calais, Vermont, Louise Kelly and her husband Hugh of Troy, Ohio, Susan Wagner of Peru, NY and Kathy Wagner and her partner Steve Young of Londonderry, NH. His grandsons Samuel Peter Larsen, Gunnar Maas and granddaughters Karina Zeida Larsen, Abby Ste. Marie, Julia Ste. Marie and Hazel Maas. And many nieces and nephews.
