Betty loved her community. She dedicated countless hours to volunteering at Merrimack County Nursing Home and participating in the annual American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Walk. Her joy in helping others was evident in her many acts of kindness, such as knitting caps for military personnel and newborns at Concord Hospital, each imbued with her love and care.
When she wasn’t volunteering, Betty enjoyed camping, spending time at Newfound Lake, and making cherished memories with her family. She wore many hats throughout her life, including roles as a dental assistant, Girl Scout Leader, member of the Catholic Daughters, and a Catechism teacher.
Betty is survived by her children: Debbie, Mary Beth, Jackie, and Ken (and spouse Dorothy); her sister, Mary Jane Bailey; her brothers: Robert Ross (and spouse Joy), James Ross (and spouse Yolanda), Richard Ross (and spouse Martha), Ralph Ross (and spouse Isai); sister-in-law, Sheila Ross; her grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, Joseph, Danielle, Melissa, Sara, Matthew, Madison, and Sydney; and her great-grandchildren: Lucian, Jaxon, Hannah, Raegan, Clara, and Ethan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas C. LaValley Sr., and her son, Thomas C. LaValley Jr.
