success but complications from the balance of the medications required possibly was more than his body was prepared to tolerate.
The surgery was to replace the right side of his heart's tricuspid valve. He was born in Manhattan NYC July 29 1930.
His parents were Paul and Maria Mrozek. Frank was 85 years old last July. He lived a healthy active life. He and his wife Lois (Salontay) had 63 wonderful, happy and productive years working together in many places. Japan and Europe. He traveled to many other locations and spent weeks away from family doing business. He started a new venture company for his employers in Japan and had complete freedom to make his own decisions on behalf of his employers. It was very successful. He and his family came home to Hopkinton after 7 years in Japan and several more years in the UK. They have two children, a daughter who lives a few hundred yards away in the former parental home. He had three grandchildren William-Andrew being the closest in proximity.
Frank was strong on world history and loved to speak about it all. Frank served four years in the Army and was a Korean vet. After serving in the Army he worked as an engineer at Bell Telephone Research Laboratory in lower Manhattan where he met his wife Lois. They married August 1st 1953.
He and his family sailed in the US before leaving for Japan and continued to sail in the Sea of Japan, living in Kobe and Ashiya.
He was fond of walking with family and Rambler friends in the UK and started to brew his own beer while living there in
Roundhay Leeds. When we were ready to leave to return home he spent many happy months planning an adventurous return by way of
Germany, ordering a VW camper and picking it up to use before returning home with it. The trip took his family into Holland
as well. After returning he worked in Michigan for the same company before it was sold to a European company. All the top
people were let go. He was 62 years old at the time and had no idea how we would survive (who would want to hire a 62 year old??)so he took his skills and started his own dry film lubricants company. Which was successful. He was determined to help our armed forces succeed and so created widely accepted dry film lubricant products (clean and dry, unlike oils and greases which was the norm at the time. Frank retired from his company at 65 to do other things. His son stayed on. He and his wife then started a selective cut Tree Farm working under the guidance of their forester. Frank cut the trees and he and his wife made
the roads and cleared a landing area to stack the trees for pick up. The forester was very favorably impressed. Frank was a
very a loving husband and father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He made many many friends over the years and always kept in touch with them. There was a small service done at his bedside by a priest who sang Amazing Grace. He was a great human being. Much loved for many reasons.
God Bless and may he rest in peace.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Bennett Funeral Home of Concord.
