Harry Bruce Stockbridge

Harry Bruce Stockbridge, 33, of Concord, NH left this world on Sunday, April 26 at home in Concord, NH. He was the much-loved husband of Erica Kenney Stockbridge of Braintree, Mass. Harry was the proud father of Kylie, Harry Jr., and Hazel. He was the beloved son of Tina and Karl Olson and Clark Harry Stockbridge, brother to Elizabeth Stockbridge, Emily Stockbridge, Kyle Stockbridge and Alex Stockbridge, uncle to Max and Jackson, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.

Harry was born on March 23, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan. He lived his early years in Lakewood NJ, before moving to Ashland and Plymouth, NH where he grew up attending Plymouth area schools.

Harry was a tall, handsome drink of water who did a lot of ducking. He lived his life largely, not only in his looming 6’5” frame, but in his passions for his family, for the music which flowed through his hands into the instruments he played, in time spent hiking through nature, and seeing the pleasure people took from the food he created. He had a ready wit and (sometimes) inappropriate humor. This great sense of humor and big laugh kept all who knew him in stitches with his jokes and antics. He was a treasured friend to many and will be remembered well beyond his limited days among us. While in the Plymouth area he made his living cooking in restaurants including a long run at the Coyote Grill in Waterville Valley, in Bristol at The Homestead, and in Meredith at the Town Docks. He was a hard worker who really enjoyed feeding people.

When he was 22, Harry decided to make a life altering change by moving to Portland, Maine and joined the recovery community there. He battled with substance abuse disorder since his teens and was able to sustain recovery with amazingly supportive friends there for many years. He moved to Weymouth, Mass and worked at Wamp’s Pizza in Braintree while attending nursing school at Quincy College. Harry was very proud to be a nurse and worked at many Boston area long term care facilities. It is there that he met the love of his life - his wife Erica. They started their careers as nurses together and grew their beautiful family.

In Harry’s memory- live your life deliberately, eat the good food, hike that mountain, take that drive, sing that song. Ask for help or take the help when it’s offered. Laugh hard. Give love, hugs, comfort and warmth because you never know which time may be the last time.

A Celebration of Harry’s life will be scheduled when we can all gather together, as Harry loved a party and deserves a sendoff appropriate for his outgoing, friendly personality.
