
He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey.
For many years he worked in the finance department for AT&T. He was a member of Congregational Church of Hooksett and a member and past master of Secaucus Hudson Lodge #72 Free and Accepted Masons in New Jersey for 65 years. He resided at Havenwood for 25 years and was formerly from New Jersey and Hooksett, NH.
Survivors include his two step-sons Lee Kempton and his wife Sharon and John Kempton and his wife Donna, all of Nashua; one-step daughter, Judy Lepine and her husband Bernard of Troy, NH; two grandnephews, Wayne Brooks and Brian Brooks both of Lockport, NY; and one grandniece Dorothy Brooks of Lockport, NY.
He was predeceased by his first wife Florence Smith in 1978 and by his second wife Phyllis (Kempton) Smith in 1999.
Calling hours will not be held.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10am at the Bennett Funeral Home Church Street Chapel (the Brick Building) at 3 Church Street, Concord.
Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater N.H. Chapter, 5 Bedford Farms Drive Ste 201, Bedford, NH 03110.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
