

James “Jim” Edward DeGraw, 72, of Concord, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Epsom Heath Care Center. Jim was born in Chico, CA on May 11, 1946, the son of John and Virginia (Jones) DeGraw. Jim was educated in Sacramento schools and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1965. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam as an Aeromedical Specialist with the 13th Air Rescue and Recovery Unit. He received the Bronze Star with V devise, Distinguished Flying Cross and 14 Air Medals. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He attended Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated in 1972. Jim practiced in Alabama and for 37 years in Keene, NH. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim enjoyed golf, football, reading and being with his family.
He was a loving husband and wonderful father and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Jim was pre deceased by his parents and sisters Joyce Henning and Ann Sly.
Members of his family include his wife, Mary DeGraw of Concord; daughter, Renee Antrim and her husband Ben Antrim; and his beloved granddaughter Kaitlyn Antrim. He also leaves his brother John DeGraw, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 10AM- 11AM at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH. A Celebration of Life service for Jim will follow at 11AM. There will be a procession to the NH State Veterans Cemetery for a committal service with military honors.
