James W. Findlay Jr.

James W. Findlay Jr., 60, of Meredith, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on September 11, 2013. He is survived by his wife Donna Lemay Findlay and two sons Jim Findlay and John Findlay of Meredith. The son of James W. Findlay Sr. and Margaret E. Findlay (Lichtenberg), he is survived by his two sisters Barbara Dombrowsky and her husband Tom, their daughter Maggie of Gettysburg PA, and Susan Wadsworth and her husband John of Methuen, MA, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born at Chelsea Naval Hospital in Chelsea, MA, he lived in Lynnfield, MA and Catonsville, MD before finally settling in Epsom, NH. A 1971 graduate of Pembroke Academy, he spent 20 years in the US Navy and retired after 30 years with Liberty Utilities. He was an active member of the Bektash Shriners, Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA or The Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11am at McClary Cemetery in Epsom, NH.
