She was born in Goffstown, NH on June 17, 1937 to parents Marion Blanchard and Charles Butler.
In early adulthood, Katherine had worked at Sprague Electric Co. and Beede Electric Instrument Co. After the birth of her second child, it was decided she would remain at home to care for her children full time. She loved children and would often babysit for her local neighborhood families, friends and her own personal family members.
Katherine was always caring for others and would help anyone in need. She loved to donate to local charities and organizations on a regular basis. She enjoyed following politics and was a very patriotic person, she was proud that her 4 sons had all served for different branches of the military. Katherine could often be found outside working in her yard. She loved gardening, landscaping, birds and wildlife. She loved music, mostly country but Elvis Presley was her favorite. She had a whole wall dedicated to Elvis memorabilia in her home. She loved dancing and loved to go to the Loudon Country Hall, Circle 9 Ranch, and the El Rancho. Most of all, Katherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend... the list goes on. She was loved by all who knew her and she treated everyone equally. Her laugh and beautiful smile were infectious. Katherine always shared a special bond with her granddaughter Vanessa, and for the last 4 years Vanessa and her family dedicated their love, time and full attention to caring for Katherine in the comfort of her own home.
She is survived by her five children: Richard "Rich" Marden; Kevin Marden of Bow, NH; Bruce Marden of Manchester, NH; Brian Marden and his wife Christina (Hatch) Marden of Allenstown, NH; and Lynda Marden and her fiancée James Correll of Concord, NH. She is also leaving behind three grandchildren: Vanessa (Chesley) Perkins and her husband Travis Perkins of Concord, NH; Heather Marden of Conway, NH; and Rachel Marden of Fulton, NY; as well as four great grandchildren whom she called her little sweeties: Landon Miner, Kaydence Miner, Weston Miner and Brenna Perkins all of Concord, NH; and three siblings Steve Fox of TN; Wilfred "Butch" Belanger of NJ; and Caroline Hatfield of NH. Also remembering Katherine is former husband and father of her children Richard L. Marden as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
