Lorraine E. Barry Durgin

Born in Boston in July 1924, she was the daughter of William and Grace (Merrifield) Barry.

In 1959 she moved to Salem, NH and then in 1999 she moved to Hopkinton.

She retired from MFE electronics, Salem,NH in 1987. She was a member of the Woman’s Police Association in Salem, NH and she was a volunteer at Nevins nursing home in Methuen, MA. She enjoyed making ceramics and being with her family.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon Moran and her husband Bruce of Hopkinton; and her daughter Wendy Tennis and her husband David also of Hopkinton; ten grand children; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great, great-grandchildren; and one great, great, great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband Harvey Durgin in 1993; her son Barre Alan Durgin in 2008 and her daughter Betty Ann Durgin in 2009.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 11am at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.
