Merrill W. Sinclair

Born in Lynn, MA on July 25, 1934, only son of the late Carlton V. and Doris E. (Merrill) Sinclair.

Merrill grew up in Loudon and called it his home. At the age of 18 Merrill signed up to serve his country in the Air Force where he made the military his life as a B-52 maintenance Jet mechanic - 509 Bomb Wing SAC before retiring in 1975. He also worked at Cambion Electronics, Concord Hospital and NHMS.

Merrill was a member of Post 88 American Legion in Loudon where in the 80's he helped in bringing a 2-Day fair to Loudon. While stationed in Maine he enjoyed going and listening to Country and Western friend, Dick Curless also getting to know a fellow serviceman actor, Jimmy Stewert when he was in England. Merrill enjoyed spending time with family and friends having gatherings out in his garage for BBQs, trick-or-treating and family get togethers. His hobbies were building bird houses, selling them at craft fairs and the Deerfield Fair until his illness put a stop to it. His most pride was his only two grandsons.

Merrill was predeceased by a son, David C. Sinclair in 2006.

Members of his family include his wife of 63 years, Lois I. (Kibbee) Sinclair; son and daughter -in-law, Aprill; daughter, Janice-Ann and her cat, Geisha; two grandsons, Thomas and his girlfriend, Rachael and Jonathan and his girlfriend Kendra.

Calling hours will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. Concord, on Wed., Feb. 20, 2019 from 5PM to 8PM. A memorial service will take place on Thurs., Feb. 21, 2019 at 11AM at the Loudon Congregational Church, 7018 Church St. Loudon, officiated by Rev. Moe Cormier. A committal service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Hwy Boscawen, on Thurs., Feb. 21, 2019 at 2PM.
