Myrna N. Bucknam, 86, died peacefully at the home of her son on Monday,
November 23, 2015.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Blanchard) Nicholas.
She was predeceased by her husband James R. Bucknam and four brothers,
Douglas, Alec, Daniel, and Theodore Nicholas.
She is survived by her son Gary Sawyer and his wife Susan, of Northfield, and
daughter Usha Bailey and her partner Vijay Mehta of Vero Beach, Florida. Two
grandchildren; Lizabeth Sawyer of Danbury and Jake Sawyer of Northfield; four
great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sara, Bobby and Madison. Her brother; Jack
Nicholas and sisters; Connie Counter, Gloria Sabean and Marilyn Fraser Dupuis;
nieces and nephews.
Myrna will be fondly remembered by all that received her warm and loving care
throughout her life.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial gathering will be held at the family's
convenience.
Donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, 30
Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301, who provided exceptional care and support to
Myrna and her family during her illness.
